Is Hypnotherapy Just Clucking Like a Chicken? Not Even Close.
When people think of hypnosis, they often picture someone on stage pretending to be a duck. It’s funny, sure—but it’s also nothing like what happens in a real hypnotherapy session.
At Perth Hypnotherapist, your safety and dignity is important to me, so what I do is entirely different. Hypnotherapy isn’t about making fun of someone's ability to go into trance and turning it against them. It’s about helping you overcome what's holding you back—whether that’s anxiety, low confidence, stress, or habits you want to break. And the truth is, the answers don’t come from me. They come from you.
What Hypnotherapy Actually Is
Hypnotherapy is a way to access the deeper part of your mind—the part that quietly runs the show behind the scenes. Using your imagination to think about what you want, and learning to deeply relax. When you’re in a calm, focused state (what we call a trance), you can start to notice patterns and beliefs that may have been limiting you for years.
This isn’t mind control. You’re awake, aware, and always in charge. My role is to guide the process so you can find solutions within yourself. Those solutions are already there—they’re just buried under stress, self-doubt, or old habits.
Why It's Not Like Stage Hypnosis
Stage hypnosis is for laughs. It relies on people who are already naturally suggestible and comfortable being the centre of attention. It’s entertainment, not therapy.
Hypnotherapy, on the other hand, is private, focused, and tailored to you. It’s about real change that sticks—not silly stunts that fade the minute the show ends.
Real Stories, Real Change
One client came to me struggling with self-doubt. Through hypnotherapy, she reconnected with a time in her life when she felt confident and capable. We anchored that feeling and brought it into the present. The result? She started making bold choices that aligned with who she truly is.
Another client, overwhelmed by stress, and having their hair fall out because of that stress, discovered a place of deep calm within himself. He’d never felt that kind of peace before—but it was always there, just waiting to be found. And his hair stopped falling out.
These shifts don’t come from me telling clients what to do. They happen because hypnotherapy helps you tap into your own strength, clarity, and confidence.
